The Media Player provides all the controls to play and control the volume of tracks and clips played from the Playlist. the Media Player provides an Audio Spectrum Analyzer (1) to display the range of audio frequency, and it displays various information on the current track, such as the Artist and title, length and the quality of the recording in (2). When used with the Now Playing Activity, you can control the display of video clips, or TV.

Media Player
1. Audio Spectrum Analyzer - samples the audio source across the audible frequency range 0-22Khz and displays a peak for each frequency band approximately 20 times per second.
2. Track/Clip Information - provides information on the current position in the audio/video source, the quality of the item in terms of Kilobytes per second or Frames per second, and the number of audio channels (Mono, Stereo, Quad, 5.1, 7.1).
3. Volume Control - Drag the Volume slide to reduce or increase the Audible output to speakers.
4. Play Controls - Pause, Play and Stop buttons provide play control over the current track/clip. Press Pause to pause the track, and press pause again to start again.
5. Media Panel Options - select one of the Media Panel Icons shown to display the Media Panel above.
6. Shuffle and Repeat Controls - select the Shuffle button to randomly select tracks/clips from the current Playlist displayed in the Media Panel. Select the Repeat button to play the first item again in the Playlist when the last item has played. Both controls remain on when selected, until you select them again to turn them off. Look in the Track/Clip information area (2), to see if Shuffe or Repeat are on.
7. Mute Volume - select the Mute Volume button to turn off all sound output. Select it again to turn the Volume back on.
8. Position Trackbar - displays the relative position in the Track/Clip. Drag the trackbar to move to different position as shown in the Track.Clip information (2).
9. Previous/Next Track - select the Previous or Next track to move and play the next track in the current PlayList.
10. Fastback/FastFwd - click on the FastBack or FastFwd button to move the position in the current Track/Clip.
11. Record - Select the record button to start recording the current Track/Clip. Press the record button or the stop button to stop recording.
12. Eject - Select the Eject button to open/close one of the DVD or CD Drives on the computer.

The Record button (11), and Eject button (12), and FastFwd/FastBack buttons (10) are disabled in version 1.07.
