Startup sequence
As soon as you have created at least one User's details using the New User Registration window (see New User Registration), orchidmedia will always start with the Sign-in window. The Sign-in window shows all the current Users who can use the Desktop Companion on the computer. Once you select a User, the software loads all the specific information and preferences for the User and displays the main window.
Sign-In Window
1. Software Version - displays the current software version, and how many days left for demonstration if the software is in demo mode.
2. User Nickname and Avatar - select your user by the Avatar with the correct Nickname from the horizontal list shown. You can use the left and right arrow buttons to move through the list of users, if you have many.
3. Password - type in the password for the user, if prompted. Passwords are hidden so be careful that the CAPSLOCK key is not on, as passwords are case sensitive.
4. Sign-In button - select the Sign-in button if you are prompted for a password or you have more than one user listed above. Once selected, the software will load the information and preferences for the user, showing progress above the Software version (1).
5. Cancel button - select the cancel button to sign-out. If you have not signed-in before, orchidmedia Desktop Companion will exit to windows, otherwise, the player software will continue to use the current user.
