Selecting the Import File

When you select the next page button in the Import Window, the software displays the Import file selection page as shown below:-

1. Previous Page - select the previous page button to move back a page during the display of the Import Window.

 

2. Next Page - select the next page button to move to the next page.

 

3. File to import - type in the file path and filename in the field provided, if you know where it is, or alternatively select the Browse button (4).

 

4. Browse button - select the browse button to display your computer folders and files. The following File Selection Window displays:

4.1 Windows File explorer - Use the windows explorer area (1) in the File Selection Window to locate the file to import.

 

4.2 Filename(s)- Any selections made in area (1) will be shown in the filename field

 

4.3. File types - filters the files shown to filenames with the extensions shown in File types. Use the drop down arrow to select the file type you want.

 

4.4 Cancel File Selection - use the Cancel button at any time to cancel file selection and close the file selection window.

 

4.5 Select File - use the Select button, when you have located the file to import, and it is shown in the filename(s) field.

 

When you select the file to import using the import function, you should see the returned filename shown in the file to import field (3) of the Import File Selection Page, shown above.

 

5. Types of items - In the above example we selected to import Contact names and addresses, so the Types of items to import should show "Contact Names and Addresses".  If the Check box is not checked then check it now.

 

6. Cancel - select the Cancel button to cancel the import and exit the import window, at any time during the import process.

 

Once you have selected the import file on the computer, select the next page button (2) to select the Target Folders inside orchidmedia.
