To complete the management of Users within orchidmedia, you can also remove Users. You can only remove other users, as there must always be one current user remaining for the software to run correctly.
Desktop Users Menu options
Select the Remove User Menu action from the Desktop User Menu actions to display the Remove User Window.
Remove User Window
1. User List - on the left hand side of the Remove User Window displays a list of the other users in orchidmedia. Use the up or down arrow buttons to select the User to remove. You can click on the Avatar directly to select the User.
2. Password - type in the password for the user to provide you with the access rights to remove this user. If the user does not have a password, then ignore the password.
3. Cancel - select the Cancel button if you wish to exit the window without removing the user.
4. Remove - select the Remove button to start the removal process. Orchidmedia will remove all user folders and items stored internally for the user. This includes the user preferences, email accounts, instant messaging accounts, email messages, music, video and photo libraries.
NOTE: Orchidmedia does not delete external files, as these may be referenced by other users, or you may wish to keep these files on your computer. It only erases files and information stored internally to orchidmedia. This means, if you have just scanned for Music/Video/Photos you can still use these files for another user or outside orchidmedia.
