Print can be accessed via the Action Menu action on the Menu bar.  For instance, if you are viewing Contact information, you can access the Print option from the Contact Action Menu displayed:-

When you select the Print option listed in the Action Menu action, the software will load the Print window with Print settings based on the type of items found in the current User Folder.

1. Printer - use the Printer drop down list to select the printer to use. You can click on the properties button to display the  manufacturer's Printer dialog, and make changes to the Printer Settiings. The Status, Driver, Port, Location and Jobs to do provide printer information and status.

 

2. Print Style - depending on the type of items the software finds in the current User Folder, it will display the last print Style selected and the options associated with the Style. In the case above, the last print style was Contact Cards, so orchidmedia has displayed the Print Contact options associated with Contact Cards.

 

3. Page Options - If the printer selected provides information on it's current page size, the page options will reflect the current page size to use. You can change the Page Size to select a standard size from the drop down list or select Custom page Size, and type in your own Page Width and Page Height.

 

4. Orientation - set the orientation of printing using the Portrait or Landscape radio options.

 

5. Color - set the printing to Monochrome (Black and White) or Color printing, if the printer supports color.

 

6. Print Copies - set the number of copies to print and double-sided and collating options, if the printer supports these features.

 

7. Cancel - select the Cancel button to close the Print window without printing.

 

8. Print - select the PRINT button to start printing the document, and close the Print Window.

 

When you start printing, an alert window displays in the right hand bottom of the screen to show the progress of printing

1. Printing Progress - displays the number of pages printed, and printer status.

2. Information - select the Information button to view message archive window.

3. Exit - select the Exit button to close the Print Alert Window.
