Places View

Selecting the Places Activity from the Navigation Panel displays the Places View in the activity Panel, then Places Menu actions in the Menu Bar and the Places Toolbar (1) as shown below.

The Places View displays the Places for the current Places sub-folder (2). as selected in the Tree view in the Navigation Panel The Range of places (3) are shown as the first three letters of the Place Name or the Country.

 

The Places are sorted in Alphabetical order on Place Name or Country (4), depending on the sort order selected from the View | Sort... Menu action.

 

Each Place is shown with the Place Name header (5), followed by the Address details (7). You can display places starting with a Letter or number by selecting the letter from the letter buttons (6) shown to the right of the Places View.  You can also use the scrollbars or the keys Up, Down, Left, Right, PgDn, PgUp, Home, End from the keyboard to move through the Places View.

 

Use the Left button on the mouse over an address line (7), to edit the Address Line, and use the Up and Down keys on the keyboard to move from one address line to another.  You can also use the Return key on the keyboard to edit an address line.

 

Use the Left button on the mouse over the Vertical Column dividers (8), to drag and change the column width of the Place details in the view.

 

The Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete buttons and Menu actions under the Edit Menu action, can be used with selection commands to move addresses from one Place sub-folder to another.
