The following section describes how to create and manage events and tasks in orchidmedia using the Organizer activity. You can select the Organizer activity in the orchidmedia Desktop Companion by selecting the Organizer Icon (1) from the Activity List in the Navigation Panel.

The Organiser Activity
When you select the Organizer Activity, the Event folders for the current User are displayed in the User Folder Tree View, shown in area (2). You can create and manage events in the folders provided, or you can create your own folders using the pop-up menu for the User Folder Tree View, shown in area (2), or by using the Media Folders Window. (See Common Features|Media Folders Window for more reading on folders).
If you select an Event folder in the User Folder Tree View, the software will filter for only those events created in the selected folder. You can use event folders to separate work events from social events, or create events associated with a specific project or activity.
Selecting the Organizer Activity will display the Last Calendar view (Day, Week, Month or Year View) in area (2) with the Month Selector, in area (3) and the To Do list in area (4) as shown below:-

The Organiser Panel
The Organizer Toolbar displays in area (1) to provide specific event actions to use with the current Calendar view. You can resize the current Calendar View, Month Selector and To Do List using the split bars between them. Place the mouse in the blank area between the objects, and the split bar will highlight. Keep the left hand button down on the mouse, and drag the split bar to the new position required. Once you raise the left hand button on the mouse, the Calendar view, Month selector and To Do List will reposition.
On each View, there are buttons, and scroll bars to provide navigation and various actions, which we will discuss in more detail in the following topics:
