Navigation:  Contacts > Instant Messaging > Exchanging Contacts

When you use orchidmedia for the first time, the software will not have any details of the instant messaging contacts that you have for the Groups you have created in MSN Messenger and other Instant Messaging software.

 

In order to update orchidmedia with contact information from Instant Messaging Servers for your accounts, you need to run the IM Contact Manager in orchidmedia.  The IM Contact Manager can be used to create contact folders for the groups, and to create contacts from Instant Messaging Servers.  It can also be used to add and maintain contacts on the Instant Messaging Servers for your accounts. You should run the IM Contact Manager when you have made changes to your instant messaging contacts, such as adding a new contact, or removing contacts.

 

Select the Actions | Exchange Menu action in the Contacts Activity to run the IM Contact Manager.

 

When you select the Actions | Exchange Menu action the IM Contact Manger window displays the welcome page as shown below:-

 

 

1. Previous and Next Page - Use the Previous and Next Page buttons to move between the Unknown Contact Groups, Unknown Contacts Page, and Exchange pages.

 

2. Next Page - Use the Next Page button shown as (2) to move to the Unknown Contact Groups.
