Once you have selected a Style from the Print Style List displayed in the Print preview Window, or you have created a new  Style, you can create or edit layouts for the current Print Style.  When you use the Edit buttons to the right of the Print Style Layout List to create a New (+) layout or Edit an existing layout, the Print Style Layout Window displays as shown below:-

Print Style Layout Window

1. Layout Description and layout Type - Type a unique name to identify the Layout and the Layout Type. The first page of the Layout Window is always the same. Depending on your selection of the Layout type (e.g. Basic Caption, Basic Shape, Background, Day View etc). the following pages will change to capture information for the type specified.

2. Rotation - select the orientation of the Layout on the page in terms of angles of 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Text and Images will be rotated to this orientation regardless of the complexity of the layout type.

3. Alignment - use the Top, Left, Right and Bottom Alignment check boxes with the corresponding Aligned position (4) to specify how the layout will fill the page.  In order to dynamically alter the size of the layout based on the page size, you align the position of the layout from the edges of the paper.

4. Aligned Position - use the Top, Left, Right, and Bottom Positions to specify how far in from the edges to start and finish the layout.  If the Top Alignment Checkbox is checked, then the Aligned Top Position is a fixed amount that the layout will always print from the top edge of the paper. Likewise, the Left, Right and Bottom Alignment and positions move the layout in from the Left, Right and Bottom edges of the paper.

If the Alignment Checkbox is not checked, then the aligned position becomes a fixed width or height of the layout. Turning Alignments on and off, you can create layouts which will automatically change size to fit into the page size.

5. Cancel - use the Cancel button to close the Layout window without saving changes and return to the Print Preview window.

6. Save - use the Save button to save your changes and return to the Print Preview Window.

7. Previous Page - use the Previous page button to move to the previous page in the layout window.

8. Next Page - use the Next page button to move to the next page in the layout window.

Note: most of the layout types have at least 2 pages to fill-in.
