Creating Events

Selecting the New or Open event button on the Organizer Toolbar, or the Actions|New Event, Actions|Open Event Menu action from the Menu bar, displays the Event Window.  You can also edit an event by double-clicking on the event rectangle in the Day view or the description in the Week or Month View.

1. Event Description - provides the brief description of the event, and the selection of the Event folder. The current event folder is used for new events.

 

2. Timing - provides the time for the event. If you select the All Day Event, the Start Time date is all that is relevant.  The Start Time and End Time provide selection of the start time and end time for the event.  Times are displayed using the current time clock user preferences.

 

3. Set Alarm - provides an alarm for the event for user defined period of minutes, hours or days before the event happens. Select the set a Reminder to activate the alarm, and make your user defined period.

 

4. Notes - provides an editing field to provide more details on the event.

 

5. Recurring Pattern - provides the feature to make the event re-occur Daily, Weekly, Monthly by Day, Monthly by Date, Yearly by Day, Yearly by Date or by some custom number of Days in the future.  Recurrence can end by a given date or continue with no end.

 

6. Save and New Button - will save the current event, and clear the contents of the Event window for you to create a new event.

 

7. Cancel Button - will ignore changes to the event, close the Event window.

 

8. Save and exit button - will save the changes to the event, and close the Event window.
